Identify the opportunities, assumptions and risks behind an idea.
Prepare clear stock research reports and explain investment theses.
Maintain watchlists and update research when important information changes.
Research stack
Use the right source for the question—and verify what matters.
Charts, price movement and market data.
Financials, dividends, company information and market data.
Market prices and company information.
Company research, earnings, dividends and analyst views.
Official filings, financial reports and company information.
Financial analysis, calculations and stock tracking.
Research assistance, information organization and productivity.
Qualifications
We believe strong investment research comes from knowledge, discipline, experience, curiosity and analytical ability.
Academic qualifications are valued and may be preferred for certain positions. However, they are not the only measure of a candidate’s ability.
Risk discipline
A good analyst doesn’t only ask what could go right. They also ask what could go wrong.
What could break the thesis?
What are the major risks?
Is the valuation reasonable?
What could change our view?
What is the market missing?
